Health & Social Wellbeing

Health & Social Wellbeing

Program Overview

TOSOVC strengthens equitable access to life-saving health services for vulnerable children, adolescents, and families across Tanzania Mainland. Our Health & Social Wellbeing Program aligns with national health priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals, delivering measurable, community-driven public health interventions.

Persistent Challenges

Across Tanzania, preventable diseases continue to disproportionately affect vulnerable children, adolescents, and low-income households. We address the following core challenges:

  • Malaria morbidity and mortality
  • HIV and TB transmission among adolescents
  • Gaps in maternal and child health access
  • Inadequate nutrition awareness
  • Poor sanitation and hygiene practices
  • Stigma limiting early health-seeking behavior

Strategic Objective

To strengthen community-based prevention, early detection, referral, and adherence systems for malaria, HIV, TB, maternal and adolescent health across Tanzania Mainland through rights-based, evidence-driven programming.
